Social media reports have spread that a shell exploded at a scrapyard in Khorezm, killing one person. According to Kun.uz, ​​the incident occurred on April 11, when a shell that was among the scrapyard's scrap metal exploded. As a result, a 31-year-old man working there died. The shell was reportedly purchased from military personnel, but the Ministry of Defense said that the military had nothing to do with the incident and that the shell was arbitrarily dug up and handed over to the scrapyard by local shepherds.
The Ministry of Defense also asked all online publications and bloggers not to misinterpret the information, reminding them of the responsibility for false information.
The Military Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.
