A scientific-practical republican medical center for maternal and child health will be established

From October 1, the Republican specialized scientific-practical medical center for maternal and child health and its 14 regional branches will be established.
The presidential decision "On measures to protect the health of mothers and children and strengthen the reproductive health of the population" was adopted.

From October 1, 2023, the Republican specialized scientific-practical medical center for maternal and child health and its 14 regional branches will be established.

"Medical brigades" in primary medical and sanitary care institutions:

identifies pregnant women in the areas assigned to them, organizes their registration and periodical medical examination;

constantly monitors the condition of pregnant women;

conducts periodic patronage of the mother and child in the postpartum period;

Regional branches of the center:

carries out medical examination of women with identified risk factors, treats them;

provides children diagnosed with hereditary diseases with special medicines and food products;

Republican Perinatal Center:

provides all kinds of medical services to pregnant women at risk of premature birth, as well as premature babies (22-28 weeks);

Center:

introduces specialized and high-tech diagnostic and treatment practices for screening pregnant women and newborns;

provides services of obstetrics-gynecology, medical-genetic consultation, healthy family planning, molecular-genetic examination, plastic and aesthetic gynecology, assisted reproductive technologies.

From October 1, 2023, the training of specialists in primary medical and sanitary care institutions will be started according to the new system being introduced.

From October 1, 2024, up to 100 eligible persons will be reimbursed for the costs associated with the implementation of assisted reproductive technologies if they are successfully used.

The program of measures for the further development of the service of protecting the reproductive health of mothers and children and the population was approved. According to the program, it is envisaged to digitize and put into practice the house sheet of pregnant women.

In 2023-2027, the number of maternity places will be increased to a total of 4,321.
