In the Bukhara region, doctors removed a safety pin from the stomach of a 14-day-old infant without surgical incision. This was reported on the "Millar" television program.
The infant was brought to the hospital due to incessant vomiting and restlessness. An X-ray examination revealed the presence of a safety pin in the stomach. Doctors removed the foreign object using a gastroesophagoscope within 10–15 minutes. There was no bleeding during the procedure.
Following the procedure, the infant's condition improved, and the baby began nursing independently. Doctors planned to discharge the child home that same day. It was not disclosed how the safety pin ended up in the infant's stomach.
