A Russian military plane caught fire while taking off from an airfield in Dushanbe

Russian military transport plane IL-76MD caught fire during takeoff from a military airfield in Dushanbe, report it telegram channels.

According to preliminary data, on the night of October 19-20, during acceleration, the plane's wheel exploded, after which a fire started. The plane rolled out of the runway and completely burned down.

According to sources, there were 8 people on board. The crew was not injured.

The preliminary cause of the fire in the Russian IL-76MD aircraft at the airport in Dushanbe is the destruction of the pneumatics of the wheel during acceleration with further ingress of elements into the engine.
