A person who tried to take out 96 ancient coins was arrested at Bukhara airport

While passing through the customs control zone of the Bukhara Airport border customs post, a citizen traveling via the Bukhara-Vnukovo flight had his checked baggage scanned using the inspection complex. As a result, it was found that there are a total of 96 historical coins, which were not mentioned in any relevant documents and were not disclosed during the oral inquiry of the customs officer. Currently, in order to determine the level of antiquity of these numismatic items, the cultural heritage department of the Bukhara region has appointed an artistic expertise, and investigation efforts are being carried out. We remind you that according to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Export and Import of Cultural Assets", it is prohibited to export numismatic items over 50 years old from the territory of our country.
