A passenger concealing gold items worth 1.3 billion soums was detained at Tashkent Airport.
Gold items worth 1.293 billion soums, which had not been declared, were discovered among the luggage of a passenger arriving from Dubai at Tashkent Airport.
During customs inspection, a total of 141 pieces of jewelry weighing 921.37 grams and three gold bars were found in the citizen's luggage.
Additionally, 120 packs of tobacco products lacking excise stamps and 90 units of nicotine snus were discovered among the items.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and an investigation is underway.
