A new species of insect discovered in Austria

Australian scientists have discovered a new species of giant stick insect, Acrophylla alta, in the tropical forests of northeastern Australia. 
Measuring about 40 cm long and weighing 44 grams, it may be the heaviest insect ever recorded in the country.
