He replaces Ibrahim Abdurahmanov in the new position. Odil Abdurahmanov was born in 1978, has a doctorate in economics. Previously, he worked as a chief consultant in the office of the president (now the presidential administration), and later as a deputy to the head of the executive office of the office Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov. Later, he became the head of the Republican Scientific Center for Employment, Labor Protection and Social Protection of the Population. On July 31, 2018, he was appointed as the first deputy minister of higher and secondary special education. In April 2019, he returned to the presidential administration and became the deputy of the adviser to the president on science, education, health and sports issues (Abdujabbar Abduvahidov), and in July 2020 he was transferred to the position of rector of the University of Transport. In August 2022, he was appointed as an adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on youth, science, education, health, culture and sports issues, and in August 2023, he started working as the director of the Department of Social Development, which was created as part of the reforms in the presidential administration.
