A new British ambassador to Uzbekistan has been appointed

The British mission in Uzbekistan is carried out by the head of the Eastern Mediterranean Department of the British Foreign Ministry. Timothy Smart has been appointed the new ambassador of Great Britain to Uzbekistan, reports the official website of the British government.
Timothy Smart will start working in Uzbekistan in August of this year instead of Timothy Torlot, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the republic. Before his appointment, Timothy Smart was the head of the Eastern Mediterranean Department at the British Foreign Office.
