A new border post will be opened on the border with Kyrgyzstan in Andijan.

A new border crossing point, "Keskanyor," will be opened on the border with Kyrgyzstan in the Andijan region. This was announced during a meeting chaired by the President on September 24.
The new crossing point will be twice the size of the existing "Do‘stlik" checkpoint. Instructions were issued to develop the project design and begin construction within three months. The facility is expected to increase cargo throughput by two to three times and reduce cargo delivery times by up to one week.
Additionally, a project to establish a $600 million logistics complex covering 300 hectares in Qo‘rg‘ontepa and Khanabad is set to launch by the end of the year.
It was noted that the launch of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway would create the potential to increase cargo transport volume to 15 million tons annually.
Furthermore, plans are being drawn up for a 78-kilometer toll road connecting Khanabad and Andijan. Practical work on the construction of a 314-kilometer toll road between Tashkent and Andijan is scheduled to begin next year.
