A Moscow court has issued a decision to detain Uzbek citizen Akhmad Kurbanov, suspected of killing a Russian general.

Kurbanov is accused of committing a particularly serious crime, which can lead to life imprisonment. He has been formally charged under the articles “terrorism and illegal possession of weapons”. The Uzbek citizen was detained for two months, taking into account the fact that he has no previous convictions, is married, has two young children and three minors in his care.

❗️ On December 17, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, and his assistant were blown up. A 29-year-old Uzbek was suspected of committing this explosion and was detained. During interrogation, he said that he was recruited by Ukrainian special services and promised a reward of $100,000 and entry into the European Union.
