A 13-year-old girl died after falling into the Topalang River in the Sariosiyo district of Surkhandarya region.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, the girl, born in 2012, lived in the Afrosiyob neighborhood. She drowned in the river on May 15, 2026, and her body was later found in the Denov district.
According to the conclusion of the forensic medical examination, the cause of death was drowning and mechanical asphyxiation. The Sariosiyo district prosecutor's office is currently conducting an investigation into the case.
