A medical worker who harassed a woman asking for a referral has been jailed in Surkhandarya

In Termez district of Surkhandarya region, the head of a department at a medical association was sentenced to three days of administrative detention for making sexual advances toward a woman who had come to request a medical referral for treatment.

The incident occurred on August 10. The 56-year-old X.E. sexually harassed the woman, saying that the referral could be arranged more quickly in exchange for sexual relations. The woman reported the incident by calling 112.

During the court hearing, X.E. admitted his guilt and expressed regret for his actions. The court found him guilty of sexual harassment and sentenced him to three days of administrative detention.
