A special dating platform named "FirstDate" has been launched in Singapore for civil servants aged 21 to 35. The initiative comes amidst a record decline in the country's birth rate.
The platform helps users find compatible partners based on their interests, habits, and values, utilizing an algorithm developed by Nobel Prize-winning mathematicians Lloyd Shapley and David Gale.
Currently, the project is in a pilot phase and is open only to civil servants. While some have supported the initiative, others have criticized the exclusion of citizens who are not civil servants and those over the age of 35.
It remains unclear whether the platform will be opened to the general public in the future.
