A girl working in a beauty salon in Iran was killed by her father

A father in Iran killed his 18-year-old daughter because she worked in a beauty salon. The deceased lived independently due to her father's violence against her and her mother, and also secretly worked in a women's beauty salon. The father found his daughter's workplace on Instagram, called her as a customer, came to the beauty salon and stabbed his daughter several times in front of everyone inside the salon. He grabbed his daughter by the hair and tried to cut her head off, but ran away when people around her screamed.
The father-killer was arrested and a case was opened against him.
According to the Etemad newspaper, 78 women were killed by family members in Iran between March and September 2024. The figures only reflect reported murders and the real number may be much higher.
