A fund for the development of PPP projects was established in Uzbekistan

Quality development of documents of public-private partnership projects in energy, communal economy, transport, ecology, health, education and other priority areas was defined as its main tasks.
The President signed the decision "On measures to implement the strategy of Uzbekistan - 2030" in 2023 in a timely manner.

The following proposals of the Ministry of Economy and Finance were approved:

Establishing a fund for the development of public-private partnership projects in Uzbekistan and its main tasks are to provide high-quality documentation of public-private partnership projects in energy, communal economy, transport, ecology, health care, education and other priority areas. define development;

implementation of the system of monitoring, management and regulation of direct and conditional obligations of the state arising from public-private partnership projects;

Introduction of mechanisms for showing (marking) compliance of budget expenditures with national goals of sustainable development and impact on climate change in reports on the formulation and implementation of the state budget project.

Ministry of Economy and Finance:

the draft of the decision of the President of Uzbekistan on the effective organization of the fund for the development of public-private partnership projects in Uzbekistan with the involvement of international financial institutions within two weeks;

a draft government decision defining the mechanisms for managing and regulating the state's obligations that may arise from public-private partnership projects;

By January 1, 2024, it will ensure the introduction of a draft government decision on the introduction of mechanisms for demonstrating (marking) the compliance of the State budget expenditures with the national goals of sustainable development and the impact on climate change.
