A district heating center has been launched in Tashkent

Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a large cogeneration center built in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent city.
To ensure uninterrupted heat supply to the population of the capital during the winter season, a number of modern cogeneration units producing both electricity and heat were launched simultaneously.
The project, with a capacity of 100 MW, built on the territory of the 4th heat center in Yunusabad district on a public-private partnership basis, is one of such important projects.
Implemented in cooperation with the Chinese company “CNTIC,” the project occupies 3.5 hectares. For its financing, 65 million dollars of direct foreign investment were allocated. The cogeneration facility is equipped with 70 gas-piston units from the British company “Rolls-Royce.”
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the operation of the center.
