A container train was sent from China to Uzbekistan on a new multimodal route

Yesterday, on July 4, a ceremony was held to send a container block train on the new multimodal route Langfan - Kashkar - Irkeshtom - Osh - Tashkent. The Ministry of Transport informs about this. The first train (41 wagons with construction materials) from Langfan (China) left. The distance of the entire road is about 6000 kilometers, and the total weight of the cargo exceeds 1000 tons. Travel time is about 12 days. It should be noted that at present this route (on land) is the shortest and fastest route for delivering goods from China to Uzbekistan. Transportation along the new multimodal corridor will be carried out by rail from the departure point to Kashkar (China) railway station. Then, the cargo will be loaded onto a truck and delivered to the Osh (Kyrgyzstan) railway station. From the Osh station to Tashkent, goods are delivered by rail as part of a freight train.
