Issues such as regional security, fight against terrorism, humanitarian aid and regional stability were discussed within the framework of the conference.
A conference of chiefs of general staff of Central and South Asian countries was held in the Palace of International Forums "Uzbekistan" in Tashkent.
According to the Ministry of Defense, delegations of the Ministries of Defense of the United States of America, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took part in it.
At the beginning of the event, the representatives of the military delegations laid wreaths at the base of the "Hymn of Courage" monument in the "Victory Park" memorial complex and visited the "Honor" museum. After that, "Uzbekistan" took a picture in front of its national flags in the Palace of International Forums.
The conference was opened by the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan, Lt. Gen. Bahadir Gurbanov, and the Commander of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces, Gen. Michael Kurilla.
