A center for evaluating the qualifications of medical and pharmaceutical workers was established

Attestations for awarding the qualification category will begin on September 16 of this year.
In the system of the Ministry of Health, a center for evaluating the competence of medical and pharmaceutical workers was established, which carries out the functions of attesting the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional skills of medical and pharmaceutical workers and assigning them qualification categories.

According to the press service of the Ministry, the following are the main tasks of the center:

- to assess the qualifications of medical and pharmaceutical workers and assign them qualification categories, to introduce modern methods of objective assessment of knowledge, skills and abilities of specialists in this regard;

- to help medical and pharmaceutical workers to regularly improve their qualifications and professional level;

- development and improvement of the regulatory and legal framework for certification and awarding of qualification categories, as well as ensuring its transparency by introducing modern information technologies;

- participation in the analysis of the current requirements for medical and pharmaceutical workers and the creation of modern qualification requirements and the legal basis for their registration.

According to the relevant order of the Minister of Health, the procedure for the organization of the application and attestation of medical and pharmaceutical workers on the basis of a completely new transparent and fair system was approved.

According to him:

- the online procedure of attestations for granting the qualification category will be gradually introduced to doctors and pharmacists starting from September of this year as a test, and to all medical and pharmaceutical employees starting from January 1, 2024;

- single information "Attestation and issuance of certificates to medical and pharmaceutical workers for qualification category" system (tibtoifa.ssv.uz) has been created and will be implemented as a trial from September 11, 2023.

Now, the documents of medical and pharmaceutical workers regarding the qualification category are accepted only in electronic form through the tibtoifa.ssv.uz information system.

In order to submit a document, each medical and pharmaceutical employee must register in the Unified Identification System (OneID) through the id.egov.uz link.

Attestations for awarding the qualification category will begin on September 16 of this year.
