A British nurse was found guilty of killing 7 babies

The nurse killed newborn babies by injecting them with syringes between June 2015 and June 2016 while working at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Letby was also found guilty of attempting to kill six other babies in the hospital's neonatal unit, using methods including deliberate air injection, overfeeding and insulin poisoning. The jury failed to reach a verdict on six other counts of attempted infanticide. Prosecutors have asked for 28 days to decide whether to seek a retrial on those counts. Letby is due to be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on August 21.
