The"protection of children from all forms of abuse" bill was put up for debate.
In accordance with the bill, forms of child abuse include:
physical abuse;
sexual abuse;
mental abuse;
exploitation;
bulling;
lack of care.
General measures to protect children from abuse include:
issuance of a protective order;
legal, economic, social, psychological, medical and other assistance;
strengthening and supporting families of children affected by violence;
taking the child from the parents (from their replacement persons) or from one of them, from other persons who have taken care of them;
going through corrective programs to change violent behavior;
restriction of the rights of persons who have committed sexual violence.
The protection order is issued by the National Agency for Social Protection and its body of God (competent authority).
The Competent Authority will issue a protective order or refuse to issue a protective order within 24 hours from the moment of receipt of an appeal or information on the case of committed violence. The transfer of the issued protection order is entrusted to the internal affairs bodies.
The validity period of the protection order is 30 days.
An official of the internal affairs body, who has handed over the protection order, informs the perpetrator of the violence about the conditions of the protection order and the consequences of its failure to comply.
The protection order may refer to the following restrictions:
Prohibition of violence;
Prohibition of the contact of the perpetrator of violence with victims of violence (as well as coexistence in the same room or vehicle);
prohibiting a violent person from shopping and carrying a weapon.
The project may be modified, completed, or rejected.
