A baby with a rare birth defect was born in Surkhandarya
A very rare birth defect - an underdeveloped form of Siamese twins - was discovered in a baby born in the Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region. He had extra legs and genitals, and an undeveloped anus.
The baby was brought to Samarkand on April 29 and underwent several staged operations. First, his intestines were removed to save his life, and then the extra legs were removed. Currently, the child's condition is relatively stable and he is under the supervision of doctors. Additional surgeries are planned in the future.
Experts emphasize that such a condition is extremely rare and is usually life-threatening.
