A 16-year-old student died after falling from the fourth floor of a dormitory in Tashkent.

A 16-year-old student at the Al-Biruni International Boarding School in Tashkent has died in the hospital, ten days after falling from the fourth floor of the dormitory.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the incident occurred on September 5 at the boarding school's dormitory. The student fell from an upper-floor window and was hospitalized.
Despite receiving medical treatment, he passed away in the hospital ten days later.
The deceased student had previously won prizes in national and international competitions in mathematics and the sciences. He had won a gold medal at the International Tournament of Young Researchers held in Almaty in 2026.
A pre-investigation inquiry into the incident is currently underway, and all details and causes of the event are being established.
