97-year-old woman breaks her own Guinness World Record by flying on an airplane wing

Betty Bromage, a 97-year-old British woman, has once again broken her own Guinness World Record as the world's oldest female wing walker.

Standing on the wing of a small aircraft performing aerobatic manoeuvres, she completed the flight at speeds of approximately 225 km/h.

Betty first set the record four years ago. Money raised through this latest charity flight will be donated to the stroke unit of the hospital where she was treated after suffering a stroke in 2025.

Over the past ten years, Betty has completed six wing-walking flights. Explaining why she continues to take on the challenge, she said:

“Otherwise, life would become boring for me.”
