A 6-year-old Uzbek citizen died in an accident in Istanbul, Turkey.
The incident occurred on June 8 at the Laleli tram stop in the Fatih district. According to preliminary information, the boy got stuck between the stop and the carriage after getting off the tram. As a result of the tram's movement, he received serious injuries and died at the scene.
The deceased had traveled to Turkey with his parents as a tourist. The incident is currently being investigated by Turkish law enforcement agencies.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul expressed its condolences to the family members of the deceased and announced that the necessary consular assistance is being provided.
