In 2026, Uzbekistan plans to allocate 6 trillion soums from the budget to increase salaries, pensions, scholarships and benefits for state employees above inflation. At the same time, the costs of increasing the cost of some services and creating additional jobs are also included in this amount.
According to the ministry, if wages increase by 1%, the budget will spend an additional 1.697 trillion soums, and if pensions increase by 1%, 832 billion soums will be spent. In 2026, 172.8 trillion soums are expected to be allocated for salaries and social tax payments, which is 18.5 trillion soums more than in 2025. Salaries will account for 42.9 percent of budget expenditures.
Also, 2.2 trillion soums will be allocated for scholarships, 86.1 trillion soums for pensions, and more than 14 trillion soums for benefits. According to the fiscal strategy, these increases are expected to be at least 6-7 percent.
