5 Uzbeks arrested in Japan

Five Uzbek men have been arrested in Japan on suspicion of committing multiple crimes.
They attacked three foreigners in Shibuya on December 30, 2024, stealing 210,000 yen ($1,400) worth of goods.
The main suspect, 21-year-old Hasanboy Dusmatov, has refused to speak to the investigation without a lawyer. According to police, they were living in Japan illegally and robbed people sleeping on the streets.
The group may have made more than 8 million yen ($55,000) by buying iPhones using stolen cards. Dusmatov gave orders to the group via Telegram.
