In Khatlon, several dozen administrative cases were filed against foreigners staying in the region and violating the law
In the Khatlon region, 42 cases were initiated against foreign citizens who violated migration laws.
This was announced by the head of the migration service for the region Azizoda Bahodur.
According to him, these cases of administrative offenses were registered as a result of special events during six months of this year.
Bahodur added that 42 foreigners were fined more than 59,000 somoni.
At the same time, it was emphasized that this is 37 cases more than in the same period last year.
These funds went to the state budget.
"There are 35 business entities registered in the Khatlon region that have a license to attract foreign labor, 633 foreigners work there," he added.
Crime rate drops in Khatlon
At the same time, he explained that 5.7 thousand citizens of Tajikistan work in these companies, including 233 labor migrants, whose entry to other countries is prohibited.
In total, the Office issued work permits to 81 foreign citizens, which is 50 more than in the same period last year.
