The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and the US Embassy brought 40 experts on English language teaching to our country. Within the framework of the "English Speaking Nation: English Summer Excellence Training" program, specialists will conduct 120 hours of training for 520 English language teachers of secondary schools. During the 16-day training, American teachers will help their colleagues in the cities of Nukus, Navoi, Zarafshan, Shahrisabz, Denov, Jizzakh, Gulistan, Angren, Kokand and Fergana and conduct practical training. The trainings are aimed at strengthening mutual confidence in using English in everyday activities, teaching in the classroom and communicating with students. American specialists teach students together with local teachers. In addition, the program will enhance the learning process of local teachers and provide them with the tools they need to use in their classrooms in the future. The "English Speaking Nation: English Summer Excellence Training" program is a component of the "English Speaking Nation: Secondary Teacher Training Program" program aimed at improving the qualifications of English language teachers in Uzbekistan. The program plans to cover 15,000 English language teachers in Uzbekistan for three years. "English Speaking Nation" is a program on educational reforms launched between the US Embassy and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan. The non-governmental non-profit organization American Councils on International Education serves as a partner in the implementation of the program. As we reported earlier, a group of pedagogues from the USA started teaching in educational institutions of Uzbekistan. We remind you that on September 28, 2020, an important agreement was signed between the two countries to support the development of education. According to him, the US government will allocate 50 million dollars to support the education system of our country over the next five years.
