3‑year‑old child rescued from rubble 6 days after earthquake
In Guayra State, six days after the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, a 3‑year‑old boy was found alive under the rubble. On the sixth day of search and rescue operations, the child turned out to be the only survivor. He was pulled out from the ruins by rescuers from Jordan. The boy was taken to the hospital, and officials reported that his condition is under medical supervision.
It should be recalled that on June 24, Venezuela was hit by two strong earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5, which destroyed thousands of buildings and claimed thousands of lives.
