27 sites promoting bookmaking services were blocked in Uzbekistan

Since the beginning of the year, 27 sites with bookmaking advertisements have been blocked in Uzbekistan. 11 letters were sent to the internal affairs bodies regarding cases of advertising of totalizers and bookmaking services by singers, sportsmen and bloggers on social networks.
Proposals were submitted to AOKA to block 92 websites promoting betting services, of which 27 sites were blocked. This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

In cooperation with the Information and Mass Communications Agency, measures are being taken to block access to sites promoting advertising of bookmaking services in order to take prompt measures against advertising violations.

As a result of the work, proposals were made to AOKA to block 92 websites promoting bookmaking services, of which 27 sites were blocked.

In addition, 11 letters to the internal affairs bodies were submitted regarding cases of advertising of totalizers and bookmaking services by singers, sportsmen and bloggers on social networks.

Today, the committee has issued more than 400 warning letters to advertisers (producers, distributors, customers) in various areas and areas to ensure compliance with the requirements of the law.

The committee, together with the relevant responsible agencies, conducted a total of more than 9,000 monitorings in order to study the compliance of the advertisements in the outdoor advertising facilities in the republic with the rules of the state language.

Of these, more than 3,000 (35 percent) advertisements were found to be non-compliant with the rules of the state language, and prompt measures were taken to eliminate them.
