21 people killed in hotel fire in India
Today, June 3, a fire broke out at a hotel located in the Malviya Nagar district in southern New Delhi, India. As a result of the tragedy, 21 people were killed and 47 others were injured. It was reported that more than 15 of the victims were foreign nationals.
According to reports, the fire started while an electric stove was being turned on in the hotel’s restaurant and quickly spread throughout the building. The incident occurred while guests were asleep.
Eight fire engines were deployed to extinguish the blaze. An investigation into the incident is currently underway. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that compensation would be provided to the families of those killed and injured.
