209 types of industrial products are produced in Khatlon region

To date, 209 types of industrial products are produced in the Khatlon region, NIAT "Khovar" reports with reference to the Executive body of state power of the region.

According to the source, for 6 months of the current year, 23 types of new products were launched, including: carbon dioxide, carbamide, fluorine sulfide, sodium fluoride, kvass, beer.

For half a year, the region produced industrial products worth 4 billion 788 million 772 thousand somoni. Compared to last year, this figure is 473.9 million somoni more. Of these, 4.1 billion somoni, or 87.3%, falls on industrial enterprises and 610.3 million somoni, or 12.7% (an increase of 3.2%), on the private sector.

In the total volume of industrial production of the region, the share of industry is 55%, the share of electricity production and services is 44.5%.

In the first half of 2023, 83 industrial workshops were put into operation, which have already produced products worth 31.7 million somoni. This ratio is equal to the same period last year.

Thus, the total number of industrial enterprises in the region reached 792, which is 118 more than last year.
