20-year-old man dies after being dragged by a horse in Issyk-Kul
An accident occurred while a 20-year-old man was riding a horse in the Kyrchin Gorge in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul region. Initially, social media and some media outlets reported that the young man had fallen from the saddle while his foot remained caught in the stirrup.
According to eyewitnesses, the horse continued running and dragged the young man along the ground for several hundred meters. Other riders managed to stop the animal.
According to Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Health, the injured man was taken to a local hospital in the village of Ananyevo. However, doctors confirmed that he had died. The circumstances of the tragedy are currently being investigated.
