16-year-old girl dies during nose surgery in Samarkand

On July 1, a 16-year-old girl who was undergoing nose surgery at the Samarkand Regional Central Hospital died. The girl lives abroad and was visiting her grandmother during the holidays.
The girl's grandmother said that her granddaughter went to the hospital because she had difficulty breathing. Three doctors told her that she needed an operation. The girl was taken for surgery around 11:00, but her condition deteriorated and she did not regain consciousness. A few hours later, she died.
The regional prosecutor's office has ordered a forensic medical examination and has begun an investigation. The deceased's relatives are accusing the doctors of negligence.
