151 Officials Dismissed for Neglecting Public Appeals

In Uzbekistan, 151 government officials were dismissed from their posts between January and August 2026 for failing to adequately address public appeals. The Presidential People's Receptions announced this information.
Over the course of eight months, 5,486 official documents regarding shortcomings in handling appeals were submitted to state organizations. As a result, 833 employees received reprimands, 150 faced administrative liability, and 1,335 received official warnings.
Additionally, 89 individuals were fined, and 8 were demoted.
The highest number of shortcomings was identified in the sectors of employment, *mahalla* affairs, the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (MIB), healthcare, the prosecutor's office, social protection, and energy.
By August 13, 2026, the Presidential People's Receptions had received 557,254 appeals from the public. The highest number of appeals—74,592—came from the city of Tashkent.
