13-year-old boy drowns in New Uzbekistan Park in Tashkent

On July 31, 2025, a 13-year-old boy drowned in the Dream Beach Resort located in the new Uzbekistan Park in Mirzo Ulugbek District of Tashkent City. This was announced by the prosecutor's Office of the city of Tashkent.

At approximately 4: 00 p.m., he and an acquaintance bathed in an artificial body of water 1.7 meters deep.n July 31, 2025, a 13-year-old boy drowned in the Dream Beach Resort located in the new Uzbekistan Park in Mirzo Ulugbek District of Tashkent City. At approximately 4: 00 p.m., he and an acquaintance bathed in an artificial body of water 1.7 meters deep. Twenty-five minutes later, a man saw a boy standing motionless in the water and drove him ashore.

The child was not brought back to life, despite the help provided by the doctors of the resort. According to forensic examination, the cause of death was “mechanical asphyxia due to water obstruction of the respiratory tract”.

The scene was examined by experts and a sample of water was taken.
