Elon Musk Warns of Risk of Human Extinction

Elon Musk said that declining birth rates pose a threat to humanity.

He was responding to reports that Singapore’s fertility rate fell to a record low of 0.87 in 2025. Musk warned that if this trend continues, humanity could eventually become extinct.

The Singaporean government is expanding measures to encourage higher birth rates, including financial support for families, additional leave, housing benefits, and childcare assistance.

According to projections, people aged 65 and above are expected to make up nearly one-fifth of the country’s population.
