A young man and his parents die after falling from a hill in India

Three members of a family died after falling from a hill in Maharashtra, India.

According to reports, the young man went to the hill intending to take his own life following a family dispute with his parents. Some sources said the argument was related to the purchase of a new phone, specifically an iPhone, and issues concerning its payment.

His parents followed him and spent nearly three hours trying to convince him to return home. When the young man fell from the hill, his father attempted to rescue him but also fell. Shortly afterward, his mother also jumped from the hill.

All three died as a result. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
