What is forbidden to carry on planes in Kazakhstan - MIIR

ASTANA, Sep 4 - Sputnik. Electronic cigarettes and other gadgets in Kazakh aircraft will now be transported under the new rules, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development said.

"In order to improve the safety and comfort of passengers, we have made significant changes to the requirements for the transportation of electronic devices and electronic cigarettes on board aircraft," the message says.

What exactly has changed? The following portable electronic devices are no longer allowed in checked baggage:

electronic cigarettes and vapes,

tablets,

watch,

calculators,

cameras,

Cell Phones,

laptops,

video cameras,

other devices containing lithium or lithium-ion cells,

spare batteries.

MIIR recommends carrying all of these items and devices in carry-on baggage "to ensure compliance with these new rules and to meet the needs of passengers."

"These measures are aimed at providing a level of safety and service that we are proud of, and we ask all passengers to comply with these changes," the agency said.
