Turkmen sambo wrestlers won bronze medals at the 2nd CIS Games

Two Turkmen athletes, Sapar Dovletov and Guvanch Begaliev, were awarded bronze medals in sambo on the final day of the 2nd CIS Games in Belarus.

Sapar Dovletov won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 94 kg. Russian Alexei Zaitsev became the owner of another bronze. In second place is the representative of Mongolia Enebish Battseren. The championship in this weight was issued by Kabulzhan Akhmedov from Uzbekistan.

Guvanch Begaliev in the weight category up to 98kg brought another bronze medal to the Turkmen national team. In addition to him, the Azerbaijani Rasul Aidamirov rose to the third step of the podium. Russian Egor Osipov became the silver medalist. The gold medal was awarded to Ikhtiyor Eshmuradov from Uzbekistan.

SAMBO competitions at the II Games of the CIS countries were held in Zhlobin (Republic of Belarus) on August 12 and 13. Athletes from 10 countries took part in them. In total, 14 sets of awards were played in different weight categories.

II Games of the CIS countries were held in Belarus from 4 to 13 August in 20 sports. More than 2.2 thousand athletes representing more than 20 countries took part in them. The solemn closing ceremony took place on August 13 in Minsk-Arena.

It should be noted that the national team of Turkmenistan took the tenth line in terms of the total number of medals at the II Games of the CIS countries in Belarus. The Turkmen team has 18 awards (3 silver and 15 bronze medals).
