The CEC of Turkey reported that the incumbent president, after processing 99.43% of the ballots, scored 52.14 percent of the votes. His rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu was supported by 47.86 percent of the population. According to the head of the CEC, Ahmet Yener, Erdogan's margin exceeds two million votes. The final election results will be published on June 1 in the official gazette, RIA Novosti reports. In the first round of elections on May 14, none of the politicians received 50 percent of the vote. The candidate from the Republican Alliance, incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (49.52% of the vote) and the candidate from the People's Alliance, leader of the largest opposition Republican People's Party Kemal Kilicdaroglu (44.88%), entered the second round.
