The President of Tajikistan met with the leaders and activists of the Vanj region

On August 16, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the leaders and activists of the region in the Vanj district, NIAT Khovar reports.

The head of state expressed his gratitude to the workers of the region for continuing the work on construction and improvement in honor of the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

It was emphasized that in the district for a worthy meeting of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, construction, repair and reconstruction of 117 objects worth 191 million somoni are provided, 41 objects have been commissioned to date.

It should be noted that within the framework of the Action Plan for the preparation for the 30th anniversary of State Independence, 95 festive objects worth 133 million somoni were built and put into operation on the territory of the district.

The President of the country emphasized that for 32 years of State independence, 477 million somoni were allocated from the state budget to ensure the socio-economic development of the Vanj region.

In addition, over the years of independence, the implementation of 11 state investment projects worth more than 30 million somoni has been completed in the region, work is currently underway within the framework of 6 other state investment projects worth more than 500 million somoni.

These projects focus primarily on building and equipping schools, strengthening infrastructure for disaster resilience, providing energy to rural areas, and rehabilitating and upgrading roads.

Along with this, in order to improve the well-being of residents and achieve strategic goals, a program of social and economic development of the district for 2021-2025 is being implemented. The program includes 116 projects totaling 174 million somoni, within which only 26 projects worth 98 million somoni have been implemented to date.

The executive body of state power of the Vanj region was instructed to expand cooperation with ministries and departments, development partners, entrepreneurs and investors, the public and other interested parties, take additional measures for the correct and targeted use of the allocated funds and ensure the implementation of existing programs and projects.

At the same time, the leadership of the district was instructed, together with the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management, to take measures to raise funds for the implementation of investment projects.

The Head of State instructed the Executive Authority of the Vanj Region, the Ministries of Agriculture, Industry and New Technologies, as well as the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management to take practical measures to attract internal and external capital in order to create a modern center for storage, packaging and processing of agricultural products .

The State Committee for Investments and State Property Management, the Agency for Melioration and Irrigation, the executive bodies of state power of the region and the district were instructed, with the involvement of funds from development partners, to take measures to develop and implement a project to ensure the sustainability of the Vanj River bed to climate change, the development and irrigation of new lands.

Along with this, it was considered necessary to take additional measures to organize livestock and poultry farms, fish farms and provide the consumer market with quality products of the industry.

The President of the country instructed the chairmen of the region and the Vanj region, together with the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management, to comprehensively analyze the region's opportunities for industrial development and take specific measures to create industrial enterprises for the processing of local raw materials, including agricultural products. .

In the course of analyzing the state of the world community, Emomali Rahmon instructed the leaders and activists of the district, chairmen of jamoats and mahallas, authoritative and experienced persons to continue admonishing the people, especially young people, to strengthen peace and stability, to comply with legal norms and procedures, to work on creation and improvement.

The head of state stated with confidence that the glorious people of the Vanj region will contribute to the creation and improvement of our beloved Motherland and strengthening the foundations of our national state in the future.
