THE DATE OF CELEBRATION OF TEACHER'S DAY WAS CHANGED IN KAZAKHSTAN

The professional holiday of teachers - Teacher's Day - will be celebrated in Kazakhstan on October 5. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, primeminister.kz reports. According to the list of public holidays, Teachers' Day in the republic was celebrated on the first Sunday of October. Now the celebration of this date is synchronized with the World Teachers' Day, celebrated on October 5 in more than 100 countries around the world. Teacher's Day is a professional holiday for all educators. The day when the role and merits of teachers, their invaluable contribution to the development of society are celebrated. According to the Ministry of Education, today in Kazakhstan there are 556 thousand teachers of preschool, secondary, technical and vocational education. For reference: the special intergovernmental conference on the status of teachers, held on October 5, 1966 in Paris, was a historical prerequisite for the establishment of World Teachers' Day. As a result, representatives of UNESCO and the International Labour Organization signed the document "Recommendations concerning the status of teachers". World Teachers' Day was first celebrated on 5 October 1994.
