Tajik judoists go to Masters in Hungary
Six judokas from Tajikistan will take part in the international Masters tournament in Budapest.
According to the National Judo Federation of Tajikistan, from August 4 to 6, in the capital of Hungary, Budapest, a tournament among judo Masters will be held, in which athletes from Tajikistan will also take part.
According to the regulations, athletes taking up to 38th place in the world ranking take part in the tournament.
Tajikistan in this tournament is represented among men by Emomali Nurali (in weight -60 kg), Obid Jebov (-66 kg), Bekhruz Khojazoda (-73 kg), Somon Makhmadbekov (-81 kg), Komronshokh Ustopiriyon (-90 kg) and Temur Rakhimov (+100 kg).
The total prize fund is 196 thousand euros. Winners in all 14 weight categories will receive prizes of 6,000 euros, winners of a silver medal - 4,000 euros and a bronze medal - 2,000 euros.
Athletes will receive points in the Olympic and world rankings. In particular, the winners will receive 1800 points, second place winners - 1260 points, and third place winners - 900 points.
Tournaments from the Masters series have been held since 2010. In the history of these competitions, Tajikistan has only one silver medal. It was won by Temur Rakhimov last year in Israel in the weight category over 100 kg.
