Several spacecraft are being assembled at Baikonur at once

ASTANA, September 12 - Sputnik. The manned and cargo spacecraft were sent to Baikonur after completion of factory control tests at RSC Energia, Roscosmos reported.

The corporation tested Soyuz MS-25 and Progress MS-27.

“This year, the ships passed autonomous tests of on-board systems and electrical tests of service equipment and equipment,” the message states.

Specialists from the Experimental Mechanical Engineering Plant performed final control and loaded the ships into railway transport units, Roscosmos noted.

In addition, the corporation added that a train with components of rockets for the launches of Progress MS-26 and Soyuz MS-25 was delivered to Baikonur.

“They will be installed at the workplace for acceptance and further preservation. The components will be in storage mode until preparations for launch begin,” the corporation’s statement notes.

Meanwhile, at Baikonur itself, a rocket is being assembled to launch the Soyuz MS-24 manned spacecraft to the ISS.

At the 31st launch pad, the message indicates, Roscosmos specialists are performing general assembly of the Soyuz-2.1a space rocket with the Soyuz MS-24 manned spacecraft.

“The state commission authorized the removal and installation of the rocket at the launch complex of the 31st site on September 12,” the corporation emphasized.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle is scheduled for September 15. The crew of the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft includes cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, astronaut Loral O'Hara.
