Chairman of the Upper House of the Tajik Parliament Rustam Emomali met with Chinese Deputy Head Han Zheng.

The event was held within the framework of the official visit of Rustam Emomali to Beijing, the press service of the parliament of the republic reports.

The parties discussed aspects of the development of cooperation between the two countries, and also touched upon the area of the regional and international situation that has developed at the moment.

Rustam Emomali stressed that China is a reliable partner of Tajikistan.

The Mayor of Dushanbe recalled that Tajikistan supports China's strategic initiative "One Belt, One Road", pointing to mutually beneficial cooperation on this basis.

Rustam Emomali and Han Zheng agreed on further investments in the economy of the republic, as well as an increase in sales of agricultural products to the Chinese markets.

During the meeting, politicians discussed cultural and humanitarian issues, aspects of teaching Tajik students in Chinese universities, and the tourism sector.

In the difficult conditions of international challenges, especially the turbulent situation in Afghanistan, the parties considered it necessary to jointly fight against all threats.

Tajikistan and China strengthen transport cooperation

Earlier, during the visit of Rustam Emomali to China, an agreement was reached on financing the construction of a conference hall in the complex of Tajik Tajikistan. The Chinese side will allocate an amount of $2 million.
