PRESS CONFERENCE. The Faculty of "National Struggle" will be established at the Institute of Physical Culture of Tajikistan

. In honor of obtaining the international status of the Tajik national wrestling, at the suggestion of the Committee for Youth and Sports Under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Gushtingiri National Wrestling Federation, this year the Faculty "National Wrestling" will be created at the Institute of Physical Culture of Tajikistan named after Saidmumin Rakhimov, the Rector of the Institute Shodi Safar told reporters during a press conference today.

This year, the National Championship in Tajik national wrestling gushtingiri will be held in Tver (Russia).

It was noted that from March 1 to March 3 of this year, an open tournament of the Republic of Tajikistan in gushtingiri wrestling will be held. Students of the institute and wrestlers from any corner of the country can participate in it, since the purpose of its holding is the selection of qualified wrestlers.

Recall that the Tajik national wrestling gushtingiri with the support of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, has acquired an international status. This international degree was registered with the Swiss Ministry of Justice, and the national Tajik wrestling received an international certificate.

To obtain this status, on March 19, 2022, a conference was held in Dushanbe with the participation of representatives of 31 countries of the world before the start of the international tournament in national wrestling. Representatives of States parties supported this decision.
