Poisoning in the special center of the Karaganda region: the health department told about the condition of children
The health department of the Karaganda region told about the condition of children poisoned in the center for the provision of special social services. Two children are scheduled to be discharged today. Another 9 children will continue to receive treatment in the hospital, six of them in intensive care, three in the department. The condition of children undergoing inpatient treatment, including in the intensive care unit, is stable in dynamics, without deterioration. It is planned to discharge two patients admitted on August 31, 2023, who are in the neuroboxed department," the health department informed. Recall that two injured children were discharged from the hospital yesterday. The Ministry of Health reported that the clinical signs of children hospitalized from the center for the provision of special social services in the Karaganda region are not characteristic of food poisoning. A special commission has been set up to conduct an investigation, the results of which will provide official information on the cause of the incident. As previously reported, mass poisoning occurred in two groups for boys. It is known about 14 victims. The children started complaining about vomiting and fever on Sunday evening. One 13-year-old boy died of intoxication, as a result of respiratory and heart failure. The institution, where 160 special children live, has begun an inspection. Also, the inspection will be carried out in all institutions providing special medical and social services to children in the republic.
